Attending the Chicago Drum Show this weekend? Be sure to come by and check out the latest from the Craviotto Drum Company: solid Poplar drum sets! It’s still in the prototype stages, but the more we play around with this wood, the more we love it! Similar to the open, warm, porous tone of Mahogany, but a little drier, not quite as hot. The PERFECT studio kit, with a tuning range unlike anything you’ve ever heard!

MARCH 2013 UPDATE:
Congratulations are in order for Craviotto artist Matt Chamberlain. Matt Chamberlain was recently awarded Percussionist/ Drummer of the Year by the Academy of Country Music. Craviotto Artists Chad Cromwell and Chris McHugh were also nominated for the award. Be sure to catch the 48th Annual ACM Awards on CBS, April 7th at 8pm ET/PT. Craviotto Artist Steve Sinatra will be performing with Hunter Hayes, as will Chris Tyrrell with Lady Antebellum.
In other news, Michael Iveson is featured in the March/ April 2013 issue of Drumhead Magazine. In the article, Iveson discusses everything from his work with Gotye, to his experiences on the LA scene, to why it is he chose Craviotto. Check it out, on news stands now!

BERNIE DRESEL ON THE TONIGHT SHOW PERFORMING OSCAR NOMINATED SONG WITH NORAH JONES!
Craviotto artist Bernie Dresel recently performed the Oscar nominated track “Everybody Needs a Best Friend” with Norah Jones on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Check out the video here!
The song was written by Seth MacFarlane and Walter Murphy for the movie Ted, and is an Oscar nominee for Best Original Song. Bernie Dresel performed on the studio recording. Unfortunately Mr. Dresel will not be taking part, but Norah Jones will be performing the song live at the Oscars this coming Sunday, February 24th, be sure to check it out!

GOTYE & the 2013 GRAMMY AWARDS
Congratulations to Gotye on his success at the 2013 Grammy Awards! Gotye walked away with three wins- Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance, and Best Alternative Music Album! Craviotto artist Michael Iveson spent the past 2 years on the road with Gotye, performing world wide. Earlier this month they wrapped up the tour, but stay tuned to see what’s to come!
